Making a Decompression Hole on Aftermarket Camshaft

As the above matter, is it really that simple. I am planning on drilling a hole for the decompression for the pin.

Currently I am using a 65mm bore with 64mm stroke on my motor and just recently purchased a higher degree camshaft thats meant for bigvalve head.

But before doing it theres a few things that bothers me from doing it. I really need some expert opinions.

~ Will I lose some power with a decomp setup?
~ Is it really simple thing to do, by drilling the same size hole...
