Stage 1 Engine Upgrade Please Help..newbie Here

hi good day to all. i just bought a sniper mx 2months ago and im planning to modify the engine or something you called "upgrading".. so what's the very 1st step i have to do? or what parts do i need to upgrade just to increase its power and have a better performance.

Please share some ideas of the brand and sizes of the parts. Thank you. appreciate your help
